A food, drink and travel writer who will eat you under the table.

Ailis Brennan is a London-based (and born, and bred) features writer, specialising in food, drink and travel.

Brennan recently left the Evening Standard following a three-year stint writing about London’s restaurants and bars, and is now working on a freelance basis with publications including British GQ and CN Traveller. Prior to the Standard, she worked for British GQ to produce the 2017 GQ Food & Drink Awards, and graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015.

Her food-focused travels have taken her from Bologna to the Cayman Islands, from Tel Aviv to Lisbon. Brennan has interviewed the likes of Alain Ducasse, Asma Khan, Nobu Matsuhisa, Anne-Sophie Pic and many more, and has also eaten at more than 350 restaurants in London, which is frankly quite worrying considering she’s only 27. She doesn’t want to think about how many glasses of wine that equates to.

If you want to know more about her professional endeavours, take a look at her LinkedIn (which may be up to date, who knows).
